Attending the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association journalism camp opened my eyes to the importance and different aspects of journalism. Hi, my name is Ava Nightingale and this is my junior year. As a second year journalist and staff writer I’m excited to continue my writing and communication skills. Additionally, in the past I’ve taken photography classes and still love to take photos whenever I can. My interests outside of journalism include baking with my sister, reading realistic fiction and fantasy books and I’ve played piano for a decade. Additionally, I’m a varsity cross country runner and training for a half marathon in Disney World.
