As a junior, this is my first year taking journalism. My name is Nikolina and because of all my requirements I was trying to finish last year; I now can’t have the pleasure of saying I was part of this staff for all three years, but I’m looking to do the most I can with the two years I have. I chose journalism because I am looking to gain experience and test the waters in more elements. I came to America in fifth grade and ever since then I have been focused on expanding my English because I could hardly understand anyone. Music is also a big part of my life, not in the sense that I play any instrument or sing, but in the sense that I thoroughly enjoy every second I get to hear it. I also love taking photos and looking forward to interviewing people as well as hearing new stories, but above all I love writing.

Back for music. The band’s fundraiser, Santa’s Craft Castle, returns on Saturday, Nov. 18. “It’s kind of a big deal because thats our money raiser for the band and a lot of people love it too. So, it is awesome that were bringing it back but its hard,” event coordinator and front office administrative assistant Melissa Dobek said.

Never Enough. Ironically in the line for the photo booth, juniors Scarlett Hemingway, Christian Talo and Mia Abu-khalil take a photo. “They were really good [the photos]. I love them,” Hemingway said. After going eight times to the photo booth through the long lines, that was her favorite part of the dance.
