My name is Maria Marki, I am a junior at Eisenhower High School. This is my first year taking a journalism class. I wanted to be able to strengthen my relationship with writing and explore other classes that I love as well. I am learning different interests in my life and am trying my best to learn more about myself, as a writer and a student.

Medical Medal. Throughout this school year, senior Gwendolyn Deras and junior Chelsea Pankiewicz train hard for HOSA’s state competitions. Competing at HOSA regionals, the girls won first place medals in CPR and First Aid.

Backlash burden. Hailey Bieber posted a picture of her modeling, and some people in her comments were not happy. Bieber receives hate from any little thing she says or does. Her comment section is full of hate speech and people saying rude things about her and her photo.

Lucky Brunch just opened. The restaurant is selling brunch, breakfast and lunch meals. Featured are three meals: a meat omelet skillet, chicken and waffles and waffles with blueberries and strawberries. Before coming to the restaurant, there talk that this establishment had just opened and visiting it was a must.

70’s Day! - On Tuesday, sophomore Devyn Raymond dresses up for 70’s day. This is her first year of high school, so she has decided to participate in spirit week. “I thought this was going to be a fun experience and this is a good way to start that,” Raymond said.
