Hi, I’m Alyssa Brown, and I am a senior. This is my second year with the  journalism news media staff and I am Co-editor-in-chief with my friend Chase. This will be my third year on the Eisenhower Varsity Cheer team. Outside of school and cheer, some of my other hobbies are cooking, baking, running, and swimming. I love traveling and spending time at the beach with my family and friends. I am super excited to get back to reading and writing.

So there's a lot of costs associated with continuing your education, whether you're going through a four year university or community college or trade school” Chapelle said. “However scholarships right are a wonderful way to bring down the cost but there's usually still a pretty hefty balance.’’

While often spotted walking the halls and talking with students and staff, Principal Brandon Manzella takes time to work behind the scenes in his office. “I was really excited to get started,” he said. “I was ecstatic because I was able to stay in the community that I love.” Manzella was appointed principal over the summer and was previously the principal at Malow.

Student Council provided a wide variety of breakfast foods to welcome new students to the Ike community. “To provide some comfort as a human act of kindness [through this event] is a great thing,” Associate Principal Kate Walker said. This is a great way for students to get to know each other and get introduced to the Ike building.

Early bird gets the worm. Today, the National Honors Society had their first meeting at 6:30am in the PAC. “We met and started taking on all the different responsibilities and how we really just work together,” Wood said. Attend the next meeting in the PAC at 6:30am on Wednesday, October 12th.

As the spring concert approaches, the vocal students prepare for their final performance of the school year. “I'm excited for the new choreography,” Juncaj said, “there is a bunch of partner-work and it's going to be really fun.” This is a great way to come and support the vocal students who work hard year round.
