Model UN club prepares for conference

A new club gives students the opportunity to participate in the government.

“This is the first time that Eisenhower has done this club,” Model UN vice president senior Alex Jasukaitis said. “I’m excited to have my group go to Oakland University to compete. I’ll see how we do.”

Nine students are participating Mar. 3 and 4. The members will travel to a conference at Oakland University. The students will represent different nations of the world. They will debate each other about various political topics.

“I hope to gain skills in public speaking and a general knowledge of what’s going on around the world — out of this club,” said senior Will Tschirhart.
