Winter is often seen as the worst out of the four seasons to most but not to all, “I prefer the winter air instead of being sweaty and sticky under the sun,” sophomore Savannah Beydoun said. People had said winter was the gloomiest time of the year.

After placing third for journalistic photography at NSPA, senior Justice Seay displays her award. “I’m most proud of the fact that I was recognized for a piece I really enjoyed doing,” she said. “I’m very happy that I not only got to create a work I was passionate about, but [that] it was meaningful enough to stand out to someone.” This was Seay’s second award at a national level.

News media staffer wins big

After being separated and distant during the months of remote learning, seniors place their hand on the wall to partake in the senior wall tradition. “I love the tradition and this year it means so much more, as it could be the closest these kids are to each other. It is absolutely so great to give this normal to the seniors,” student council advisor Amber Bronson said. The wall was completed on Feb. 5th.

After the first in-person rehearsal of the school year comes to a close, seniors Erik Smith and Joseph McGivern, who act as Al and Mike respectively, discuss the weather for the first time in months. “It (the weather) decides it wants to be cold in all of the wrong areas and warm in all of the wrong areas, such as freezing over my windshield only,” Smith said. They left rehearsal ready to come back the next day.
