Spanish teachers Monica Klesko, Maria Rajewski and Kelly Warzin start to plan a summer trip to Spain for level 4 and 5 students.

The teachers plan on leaving in mid-July to fly to Spain for approximately 15 days. From there they will take famous bus and train systems that around the cities they visit that students learned about during their culture lessons.

“I’m excited for this trip because I’ve spent the last four years learning about Spain’s culture and attractions and now I finally get to go and experience them,” junior Leah Shulz said.

Students will tour almost all of the country’s hot spots and major cities like Barcelona and Madrid. They will take part in activities like learning how to make traditional Islamic tiles and walking through markets and down beaches.

“I think this trip is going to put my Spanish skills to the test,” junior Marina Palazolo said. “It’s one thing to learn the language but it’s another to actually speak with authentic Spanish speakers.”

The total cost for this trip is about $3500-4000 all inclusive (except for extra spending money). This covers their round-trip plane ticket, the 5 star hotel they will stay in and additional ground travel fairs.

“I think this trip is going to be well worth the money,” Shultz said. “It’s something that everyone who goes is going to rememebr for a life time.”
