Instrumental band hosts charity concert

Spend the evening of May 14 with ears wide open to enjoy the Eisenhower Instrumental Music Progam’s last community concert.

“This event is part of our larger ‘Community Art Series’ put on by the Eisenhower Instrumental Music Boosters where we bring real Art Music into the Eisenhower area;  It is an awesome event and we are thrilled to be hosting it,” Band Director Christopher Traskal said.

The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. and admission is free. Among student brass musicians performing, the show will also feature The Motor City Brass Band and tubist, Dennis Nulty. Doors open at 7 p.m. so come prepared to lend an ear to the talented classical and jazz musicians.

“I’m excited to be performing,” student trombone player Kyle Fields said. “I think I’ll learn a lot from the brass band and I can’t wait to hear them play.”
