Vivian Pozsgay, Staff Writer

Hey. My name is Vivian Pozsgay and I’m a sophomore here at Ike. This is my first year in a journalism class and I am so excited to be able to write for our news and have new opportunities. I’ve taken different artistic classes including photo and film, but have limited experience otherwise, making me really excited to learn more. I love writing and want to pursue a career with it, therefore that was my main motive for taking this class. I also love to read and journal, which I'm looking forward to doing within this class and for our news. My favorite color is dark green and I love hanging out with friends outside of school.

The 2000s never go out of style. The clothing pictured above, including converse, off the shoulder tops, and low-rise skinny jeans, are still seen throughout the halls at Eisenhower. Although they are heavily modernized, these forward fashion statements make comebacks every year because of the monotonous fashion trends from the 2020s.

Whatever floats your boat. Eisenhower students from previous years participate and watch the annual boat race. Some students are racing to the end of the pool to win the 3D metal Mr. Packan gives white, while others watch and cheer them on. “To see the kids come back whove done it before, they come back and they say, we know what works from last year and once they do it the second time around, they know what works and what doesnt work,”auto teacher Jeffrey Kment said. “Theres a really big learning curve from actually building a boat and putting it in the water for the first time to the second time. The boat races involve architecture, design and engineering, auto, woodshop construction, physics. The boat races are schedule to happen on Friday, March 4, 2022.

Painting their pumpkins, Co-Editor-in Chiefs Lauren Devereux and Danielle Carlisi laugh during their halloween party in room 640. The party took place on Friday, October 29th and after decorating their pumpkins, a pumpkin contest was held. “I was just really excited to have a relaxing day after putting in a lot of work the past few weeks to get our last edition out,” Carlisi said.
