Hi, I am Molly Yeske. I’m 15 years old and I am a Junior at Ike. This is my first year taking Journalism News Media. I took Journalism because I had Mrs. Kincannon as a teacher last year which I loved and I wanna learn more about writing to improve my skills. I have taken a photo and film class before where I learned quite a bit about lighting with photos. I enjoy playing softball and basketball and doing stuff like learning to skateboard in my free time. I am so excited for my upcoming year in the Journalism staff.

Rising Prices. Seniors find it hard to pay for college with the high tuition. “College tuition shouldn’t be so high because a lot of students go into school without a lot of money, and it’s harder for some students to get into college,” sophomore Abby Kalft said. Students of multiple grades agree that tuition is too high and they will all have to deal with it at some point.

Whatever floats your boat. Eisenhower students from previous years participate and watch the annual boat race. Some students are racing to the end of the pool to win the 3D metal Mr. Packan gives white, while others watch and cheer them on. “To see the kids come back whove done it before, they come back and they say, we know what works from last year and once they do it the second time around, they know what works and what doesnt work,”auto teacher Jeffrey Kment said. “Theres a really big learning curve from actually building a boat and putting it in the water for the first time to the second time. The boat races involve architecture, design and engineering, auto, woodshop construction, physics. The boat races are schedule to happen on Friday, March 4, 2022.
