Working the runway while flashing their best smile, eight senior boys participate in the annual Mr. Ike beauty pageant.

    The eight boys competed in five different categories, including: outfit of choice, talent, swimwear, formal wear and an interview portion. Collectively, they did a group dance.

    “We chose these categories because we want the guys to have fun with it, but we also want to fulfill the basic pageant guidelines,” senior Mr. Ike head Marissa DeLang said.

    The boys were judged on a scale of one to five based on creativity, poses and overall impression. Once judgement was finished, scores were tallied and six different titles were given.

    “It was really hard to judge each individual. They all had their own specific thing that made them stand out. It’s safe to say it was a close race,” judge Shane Smith said.

The final results were:

Mr. Charity – Tyler Francis

Mr. Charisma –  Joe Shoukani

Mr. Nice Guy- Nick Wodtke

Mr. Talent- Christian Kennedy

Mr. Ike- Mike Kripl

    “It was an awesome experience, I had a ton of fun,” Kennedy said. “I would do it again in a heartbeat.”
