Hi, everyone. My name is Sophia Considine; I’m 17 years old and this is my second year on staff, this time as an editor. I am a senior this year and I’m so excited to get back into the groove of school. Some of my interests include reading, writing, singing, acting, K-pop, baking, watching shows (usually Asian dramas) and working out. In my life, I’m looking forward to traveling around the world—most notably Australia, France and South Korea—and doing volunteer work, such as: mission trips. After high school, I’m considering having a minor in Journalism to go with my major in English/Creative Writing; I hope to work in a publication environment once I graduate from college.

Students plan to start their search for a summer job.

After the first in-person rehearsal of the school year comes to a close, seniors Erik Smith and Joseph McGivern, who act as Al and Mike respectively, discuss the weather for the first time in months. “It (the weather) decides it wants to be cold in all of the wrong areas and warm in all of the wrong areas, such as freezing over my windshield only,” Smith said. They left rehearsal ready to come back the next day.

Focusing on taking notes, junior Lucia Mancini writes notes to study from. “I'm intense and ambitious, especially just because I expect so much of myself,” Mancini said. “I'm constantly studying making sure I understand stuff and if I don't, I work on it until I can.” Mancini studied a lot for the upcoming exams.

Auditioning for a musical requires certain values from students. “[We are looking for] people who are willing to work hard and people who are willing to dedicate their time to the musical and make sure it goes well for everyone,” theater teacher and director Eric Wells said. Students fulfilled these values throughout the theater program’s history.
