Hi, my name is Hali Ponce and I am a sophomore and new to journalism this year. Honors English was one of the main reasons I fell in love with writing and journalism. Reading and writing about world news is one of my favorite things to do. In college I hope to major in something that relates to reading and writing. A cool fact about me is that I love animals. I have a chocolate lab named Buddy. Another thing I love to do is hike and travel around the world. I do equestrian riding in my free time.

The writing club is up and running with new co-presidents Bridget knoflach and Carson Walters. The club was created for student’s to express their inner writer and increase their creative writing ability.

Look out for fun spirit. In the commons sophomore Claire Gifford shows school spirit in everything but a backpack day. For spirit week, she participated because it makes the week fun and is important. “I brought my sister’s Zuca bag and it’s for ice skates,” Gifford said.
