Rankin runs to her throne

Track season crept around the corner and this running queen is taking her throne.

“I played soccer in freshman year. I just randomly decided to join cross country and never turned back,” junior Kennadi Rankin said.

As a sophomore she and her team won the county meet, which she continues to hold as a great accomplishment. She was named second team all county in the 3200 meter for track and field.

“I love the family aspect of cross country. Everybody is so welcoming,” said Rankin. “Fast or slow everybody accepts and talks to everybody. I’ve made life long friends from cross country.”

Rankin hopes to pursue her passion by earning a scholarship to run in college. Though no matter what, she intends to keep running as a hobby in the future.
