Q: Which sports team are you a part of?

Jazmine Delbeke ‘19: Varsity cheer.

Q: What did it feel like to learn you made varsity?

Delbeke: It was a complete shock. But I was really proud to become a part of an amazing team like Ike’s. We are gonna win states, I can already feel it.

Q: When trying out, what was going through your head?

Delbeke: Don’t mess up, Jesus take the wheel.

Q: What is different about being on varsity?

Delbeke: The team is filled with people who all have the same idea, to win and be the best. That attitude is hard to find on teams. We give one hundred percent 24/7, we strive to be the best. The passion for cheer is also shared amongst the girls and I.

Q: How did you prepare yourself this year?

Delbeke: I worked hard. I spend more hours in the gym than I do at home.
