Art Department Bond Issue Solved for new Technology

For the past seven years, the art department has had the same computers, but this year the district was able to get enough money for the art department to buy new computers for the classroom.

“I love the new technology. I like how big the computers are and I really love that the mice and keyboards are not wireless, because that caused so many issues last year,” senior Lindsey Saylor said.

The wireless connection between the mice and keyboards were interfering with each other, and would type on the wrong computers, so this year the class has all wired peripherals.

The school district had a bond for new technology, which permitted money to purchase thirty new 24-inch Macs, new lights and a new green screen.

“It’s really cool that every student gets to work on something, because there are enough computers for every student to be involved,” Saylor said.

In the previous years, the class only had 16 computers to share between the class, but now there are 30; one for each student.
