Kelly Palmer ‘17: “I’m excited about making our t-shirts for French club because it really brings pride to French club and it shows who we are. It gets everyone to be creative, kind of bringing people together, because everyone throws out ideas and we get to know each other more.”

Q: How many years of French have you taken?

Palmer: “I’m in French four right now.”

Q: Do you hope to pursue French in the future, maybe in college?

Palmer: “Yes, I do hope to pursue more french classes maybe in college and maybe take a semester in France.”

Q: What made you want to take French?

Palmer: “I was torn between taking french and german back in junior high, all my friends were doing german so I decided ‘oh I’m going to take French’ to be different and once I started taking the class I started to realize I thought the language was really beautiful.”

Q: What do you hope to gain by participating in French club?

Palmer: “Mostly I think it looks good on college applications, that’s a really big up, but another thing is all of my friends are in French club and I think it’s just a really great way to get everyone to hang out a do something we all have in common.”

Q: In the past years you’ve done French club or taken French what your favorite thing that you’ve done?

Palmer: “French club has designed, there used to be a big board, where each month or so a different club would take it and decorated. When french club had its turn me and my best friend went and decorated it and we spent a couple days making everything, and it was really good. We kept it up for a long time because we worked so hard on it. We printed things, we colored everything too.”

Q: Anything else you’d like to add?

Palmer: “Just that French club is awesome and a lot more people should join because French is the best language here.”
