The dance team competed in Chicago. “I’m really excited for Nationals this year. Our team brought first place home last year and we’re hoping to do that again this year,” senior Brenna Noyes said. The team plans on going to Nationals later this month in Orlando.

On January 10th varsity and JV dance team traveled to Chicago and competed at the last regional competition before Nationals.

“I’m really happy we’ve done so well and have ended our season on such a high note,” senior Sarah Sahutske said.

Both teams performed a hip hop and jazz dance routine. They competed against other local high schools like Stevenson and Stoney Creek, as well as others from across the country. Both teams were awarded first place.

“Both our teams work really hard on perfecting our routines and it’s nice to see it all pay off,” senior Bella Cventanoski said.

The team has no more competitions until Nationals located in Orlando, which they will leave for on January 28th.

“I’m really excited for Nationals this year. Our team brought first place home last year and we’re hoping to do that again this year,” senior Brenna Noyes said.

The dance team has worked very hard to increase the quality of their team this year and make them the best they’ve ever been, according to Sahutske.

“I think we have a very strong team this year,” Sahutske said. “And that’s because we stepped it up a notch compared to last year.”
