Senior defenseman Alex Schneider and junior center Jack Tobiczyk were recently named to the All-State and All-Mac Red hockey teams.

Q: How did you feel when you found out you were named to the all-state and all-mac teams?

A: “I was pretty excited when I first found out. It was an honor because you’re being recognized as one of the best high school players in the state, so it was really cool.” Alex Schneider

“When I received the awards, it was a good feeling knowing all my hard work from the season paid off. It’s an honor because only a few kids receive these awards.” Jack Tobiczyk

Q: What would you say was your best moment from the season?

A: “Probably the game we played at Comerica Park. It was a really cool experience, and we came back in overtime to beat Detroit Country Day.” Alex Schneider

“My favorite thing from this season was playing in the cancer game. That night wasn’t just about playing our rival Romeo, but it had a bigger meaning to a lot of people.”

Q: What are you going to miss the most about this season?

A: “The bond our whole team shared this year was really special. It was unlike other years and was probably the closest team I’ve ever played with. It was a great team to end my high school career with.” Alex Schneider

“This team had a lot of fun together. I’m going to miss all our team meals and hanging out afterwards. They brought our team really close.” Jack Tobiczyk
