Halloween fun and homecoming

A group of students get together to throw their own homecoming, but it took place at a barn

Even though COVID cancelled school’s homecoming plans, senior Kendall Westgate and junior Ryan Level make the best of the year. The couple went to Mae Stecker to take pictures and then went to eat at the Detroit Fish House Company. “I definitely recommend having a fake homecoming,” Westgate said. “It’s a great opportunity to hangout with your friends and get all dressed up for a night.”

Embracing change. Mysliu adapts to change when she moves with her family to America. After her family decided to make the big move Mysliu had to find ways to adjust to a new school atmosphere. The school where she started here at first was not a good fit for her and it made her feel very uncertain about living here, after 3 years I see Marina doing very well in all life aspects,’’ Marinas mother Elona Mysliu said.

Leaving behind comfort and facing struggles

Dance the night away. After winning first place for both the jazz and pom category, junior Aubrey Bowen celebrates her win with the junior varsity team. “She [Bowen] loves the team, and involves herself in lots of team bonding events,” Bowen’s Mom, Mellisa Mulville-Bowen said. Occasionally, Bowen hosted the teams bonding events and offered anything possible for her teams success.

One Step at a Time

Take a picture, itll last longer. Posing for game day, senior Ivana Petrevski’s high school dance comes to a close. Petrevski plans to dance in college.

The show must go on

Curious kindergarteners. Helping to teach a class, senior Gabrielle Carnes reads a story to the kids. She got to work with her former elementary school teacher through her future educators class. “I love being able to break away from all the stress of the day and go see the kids,” Carnes said. “I know that when I go to placement theyre all excited to see me.”
