Q and A with Lisa Doherty on Women’s Swim and Dive

Q: What do you think the most successful part of your season was?

A: “The county meet. All of the girls came together and swam well as a team.”

Q: How did you do this year, compared to last year?

A: “We did about the same. We lost a lot of really good seniors, so getting second place at counties with losing the senior talent and leadership was impressive.”

Q: If you had to pick an MVP for this season, who would it be?

A: “MVP is tough. I have a lot of great seniors, and sophomores, and a lot of kids in between. To get to State Finals it takes a team, so there really is no superstar.”

Q: How do you think your team will do at States?

A: “We’re young. We made it to States last year and won relay. We have three relays and two individual competitors. We’re young and a little inexperienced, but it will be a great learning experience for us.”

Q: What was the most memorable part of the season?

A: “There are so many. These girls as a group are very fun and exciting to be around.”
