Womens lacrosse goes to playoffs

After an undefeated season, the women’s lacrosse team went to playoffs.

The Eisenhower women’s varsity lacrosse team went to playoffs on Friday the 24th of May. The Eagles went 17-0. With the regular season in the rear view mirror, the Eagles were heavy favorites to make a run.

“We all thought we would at least make it past the first two rounds.” Said sophomore Isabella Ventimiglio.

With all the motivation in the world the Eagles went against the West Bloomfield Lakers in the first round. They played the Lakers earlier in the year and winning 12 to 7. After that loss, the Lakers managed a 12-2 record.

Since it was our first playoff game, everyone was nervous.” Sophomore Madison Sorensen said.

The Eagles ended up losing the first round match up against the Lakers 14-13.

“We got screwed over. The refs were against us the whole game and we lost by 1. After the game, everyone in the locker room was mad because of the refs”. Sophomore Isabella Ventimiglio said.

With the screw job behind them, now the women’s lacrosse team is out for vengeance.

“Next season were going to get back to where we were and get back to the playoffs and this time go far.” Sorenson said.

With the anger of last season, the Eisenhower women’s varsity lacrosse team will bring that anger into next season.
