Students in Economics teacher Derek D’Angelo’s will have an opportunity to earn extra credit in an atypical fashion by attending a town hall meeting on Oct. 27.

“It will contain real life applications of government. You’ll get to experience economics in real life” Derek D’Angelo said.

Issues around the community, such as a company trying to build a store far enough away from residential areas or a company trying to put up a sign, will be discussed at it.

“I’m a little bit interested. I’m not too interested, but I guess it’s kind of cool to learn about it,” junior Blake Ross said.

Several of these opportunities will be open throughout the year. If a student misses this one, they can attend the next meeting.
