With the collaboration of students from roughly 50 different high schools, student council took on Traverse City this weekend in a three-day States experience.

“When we arrive, it’s super fun. We receive a schedule, starting with mingle time in the beginning,” student council member sophomore Marina Stajonowski said.

Each school split into separate groups based on the numbers they were assigned to throughout the weekend. Other schools present, sharing their own school creativity with other schools.

The students have the opportunity to create new friends and meet new people. They also learn what they do for their school to use towards ideas for our school.

Student council member sophomore Lexi Fisher said, “It was an amazing experience because I got to meet and talk to other student councils across the state.”
