Thursday, March 27, Key Club officially inducted their 178 member.

The ceremony included a keynote speaker, Megan Cadel, member induction, a senior slideshow, and installation of the new officers. Members were handed an official certificate of induction, a pin, and a Key Club member card.

“I like being apart of Key Club because it makes me feel like I am doing something meaningful with my time,” senior inductee Ashley Oman said.

To be inducted into Key Club a student must receive at least 500 points, 100 points including community service and 100 points including donations. Key Club works under the authority of Kiwanis, which is a well respected organization that has been around for years.

“To me, the best part about Key Club is that they contribute on an international level so I know that my hard work is going farther than just my town,” senior inductee Eric Brunk said.

The night lasted roughly an hour, ending with a farewell from advisor Linda Craun. Twice year seniors were not handed medallions, but they will be distributed at a later date.

“I’m excited to finally get my medal,” senior inductee Chirstian Kennedy said. “I’ve spent three long years in Key Club so it’ll be cool to see it all pay off.”
