The girls lacrosse team holds a fundraiser by selling shirts to raise money for the team. “The fundraiser not only makes money but also allows our friends and classmates to show support to the team and show school spirit,” junior Michalena Hamrick said. Students can get a shirt until May 20.

Girls lacrosse team sells shirts to raise money for equipment and traveling.

“The shirts are super comfy and will fit anybody,” junior Michalena Hamrick said.

Shirts come in sizes small, medium, large, extra large and two extra large. The team made sure everyone would have options.

“With Michigan weather, we needed both a sweatshirt and t-shirt option and because we’re in high school it needed to be affordable,” junior Zoe Yeager said.

Sweatshirts are 25 dollars and the t-shirts are 15 dollars. Students can bring money to anybody on the lacrosse team or coach Desiree Messina.

“We wanted a design people wouldn’t be embarrassed to wear,” Yeager said

The shirts are black cotton but royal blue and bright white colors are included in the design — which is an angry eagle and says, “Ike Girls Lacrosse.”

“We need the orders in fast so we can raise enough money before the season,” Hamrick said.

Orders are due next week, once again students can contact anyone on the team to discuss getting a shirt. Make sure to order by next week Thursday May 20.
