Usually when one needs a sweet treat they go looking for a piece of candy or ice cream; but why look for that when one can make this delicious cinnamon cake easily at home?

This cinnamon cake is pretty similar to coffee cake; it just excludes the nuts. This cinnamon cake is extremely simple to make and turns out delicious.

The recipe was nicely set up with step-by-step directions and easy to follow instructions, especially if one is a beginner baker. It had all the ingredients laid out and the factor of putting it together became easy.

It took about 45 minutes to bake in the oven—the only downside—but the prep time was about 15-20 minutes. The cake turned a beautiful golden brown after it baked.

When cutting a slice it comes out of the dish very nicely and does not crumble. The cake is very moist, especially after waiting for it to cool down.  When the added topping and the cake come together, it makes for a nice taste.

All in all, this recipe rates a 4 out of 5 cake slices, due to how easy and delicious it is.
