Over the weekend the wrestling team was in Bay City for a tournament. Overall they finished fourth place out of twelve teams in the tournament. They won two out of their five matches, despite missing four team members.

“I thought we wrestled real well the first two matches and then we took our lumps, it was a learning experience,” wrestling coach David Drath said.

Because they were missing wrestlers they had to forfeit the matches they would have wrestled. This gave the other teams an automatic 24 points to start the match, which put them at a disadvantage.

“We could have made less mistakes against Romeo, I don’t think we wrestled as intense as we could have or should have,” Drath said.
