As the buzzer rings indicating the end of the game, the Eagles celebrate knowing they just made it to the semifinals, in the last quarter of the game up by 14 points.
“I didn’t think we’d get this far, I thought maybe we’d make it, because last year we were really good too, but once we got to regionals, the teams got really good,” Tesla Bertoia said.
The women’s varsity basketball team worked their way to the semifinals held at the Breslin center at Michigan State University against Muskegon Friday March 19 at 12 p.m.
“I am so proud of the growth and resiliency of our team. We have taken steps on and off the court to get to this point. Through obstacles and tough stretches during the season, our players have worked hard and continued to believe in each other,” coach Madison Ristovski said. “They are becoming true leaders. The team is so excited to play at the Breslin Center on Friday. We obviously hope for success this weekend, and we’re focused on our individual and team goals to try and make that happen.”
