The varsity basketball team lost last night’s game against Chippewa Valley by 11 points with a final score of 33-44.

“We didn’t execute well at all last night. We didn’t make our shots. We were really off. We were running the offense and looked drowsy and tired,” senior forward JaiJavante Reid said.

Chippewa took an early lead with nine points. The Eagles were down by three points heading into halftime. They were up by one point at the start of the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win.

The Eagles look to improve and shift focus to Dakota, according to senior guard Lorenzo DiLisio.

“We just got to get a big win on Friday,” DiLisio said, “and hopefully that will get our morale up to boost our momentum and be a leader in practice and try to get our guys going.”
