Lovins conquers the field

“She’s an outstanding player on our team and kicks butt at first base,” Sophomore Junior Varsity Morgan Goethals said.
Claire Lovins is a sophomore on Ike’s Junior Varsity Softball team. She spends the rest of the year playing and practicing for her travel team, The Michigan Batbusters. Lovins plays first base and outfield.
“I think my season is going better than expected,” Lovins said.
Lovins notable season has been successful by taking hitting lessons from Eddy Ketelhut. At Extra Innings, Ketelhut works on drills and films Lovins to help her exceed.Her hard work and dedication to get better has helped Junior Varsity hold a current record of 5-0.
“I feel that I’ve come a long way,” said Lovins, “I can’t wait for what’s next to come.”
