Ready to Swing
On April 4th Ike’s tennis season started off, with Varsity playing against Troy Athens. The final score was Ike with seven matches won to Troy Athens with one. In commemoration of the season’s start, some of the players were asked what they were most looking forward to this season.
First Doubles Kayla Spirvoski ’14
“I’m really excited about being the captain of the team and leading us to state finals.”
Third Singles Ashley Berry ’15
“The team is like a family, so I’m really looking forward to spending time with them playing tennis.”
Third Doubles Taylor Collins ’14
“What I’m really excited for this upcoming season is being able to play in states this year with one of our strongest teams yet.”
Second Singles Taylor Mclaughlin ’16
“What I’m really looking forward to is the tournaments in the season, because that’s the time for me to be able to get first place and hopefully win them all.”
