The importance of the Coronavirus vaccine

The Covid-19 vaccines have been out since the beginning of 2021 and slowly been opening up to more and more people.

In March of 2020, the United States and many other countries quarantined because of the spreading of Covid-19 throughout the United States. Since then, wearing masks and social distancing in public became a part of everybody’s daily life. It’s been a year since the globe started quarantining due to this virus but now there are vaccines that finally became available to all of the United States.

All COVID-19 vaccines currently available in the United States have been shown to be highly effective at preventing COVID-19,” according to the CDC. The effectiveness of the vaccine causes protection from getting and spreading the virus to others. Once people get the vaccine you can still get Covid but won’t be contagious or symptomatic.

After getting the shot it’s suggested to drink lots of fluids like water. Three weeks after getting the first shot, it officially sets in and the second shot’s available. Or there’s the option to get the 1 in 2 vaccine shot.

Clinical trials of all vaccines must first show they are safe and effective before any vaccine can be authorized or approved for use, including COVID-19 vaccines,” according to the CDC. The more people who get the vaccine, the less time it takes to get back to a somewhat normal life.

Many adults, elders, teachers and especially essential care workers continue to make vaccine appointments. Now, high schoolers older than 16 are eligible for the vaccine. The vaccine approved for ages 12 and above and hopefully official soon.

It is very important to get the vaccine for covid-19 so everyone helps close out this pandemic, to save lives and then stop wearing masks.
