Heart hand warmers

These pocket sized hearts can keep your boy or girls hands warm with a little bit of ingenuity.

What you need:

  1. A sewing needle
  2. Scissors
  3. Colored thread
  4. Colored felt
  5. Rice

Step one: using the scissors cut out two hearts of the same size from the colored felt.

Step two: thread the needle with the colored thread. Then start to stitch the two hearts tightly together leaving no gaps for the rice to escape out of along the edges of the hearts making sure you have enough thread to stitch all the way around the hearts.

Step three: before you close up the heart leave a gap wide enough to fill the heart with rice. After done filling the heart with rice stitch up and tie the two ends of the thread together. To make the heart warm put it in the microwave and the rice will hold the heat.
