Candy Huggers

An adorable addition to spice up the traditional candy bar or box gift. This little guy is a cheap way to surprise your special boy or girl.

What you need:

  1. Scissors
  2. 2 different colored pieces construction paper of your choice
  3. Tape
  4. pencil

 

 

Step one: place the box of candy in the middle of the construction paper and trace it with a pencil to be able to measure out how big your hugger needs to be. You will need to be able to wrap the arms about midway of the candy box.

Step two: using the Scissors cut the shape of the hugger out one of the construction papers giving it two distinct arms that can wrap around the box.

Step three: either draw or cut out the huggers face and details.

Step four: taking you scissors cut out a heart from the second colored construction paper and suze it down to fit in the middle of the hugger.

Step five: taking the heart tape it onto the hugger then take the box of candy and with its two arms wrap them around the candy with the candy in the middle of the hugger.

Step six: tape the arms to the box of candy so it looks like it is hugging it and you are finished.

 

Valentines day Strawberry sugar scrub

If you want to spoil your special someone try this all natural body scrub. This scrub is a easy gift to make for your boy or girl and help moisturize and exfoliate skin.

What you need:

  1. 1 cup sugar
  2. 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries
  3. ¾ cup virgin coconut oil
  4. 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
  5. Zip lock bag
  6. Rolling pin
  7. Medium bowl
  8. A spoon

Step one: take the freeze-dried strawberries and put them inside the zip lock bag. Take the rolling pin and crush the berries till they resemble a powder.

Step two: put the berries dust into the medium bowl along with the sugar and with your spoon slowly stir the two together until they are properly mixed.

Step three: mix in the vanilla extract and the coconut oil to create the scrub and you are done you can present it in a jar or even just a bag.  

 

 

Write in coupons

Coupons are easy and fun to make and not to mention they never expire. These coupons are fun to redeem and can be used year round.

What you need:

  1. A writing utensil
  2. Scissors
  3. Multiple pieces of construction paper
  4. Staples
  5. Optional decorations

Step one: using the scissors cut out a rectangle from the construction paper however big you would like the coupons to be using as the starting measurement. Cut out however many coupons you would like to give.

Step two: with your coupons all cut out start to decorate and write what you want to give on them with the utensil (example: one free back rub).

Step three: after decorating staple the coupons together to create a booklet of coupons to be finished.

 

Heart hand warmers

These pocket sized hearts can keep your boy or girls hands warm with a little bit of ingenuity.

What you need:

  1. A sewing needle
  2. Scissors
  3. Colored thread
  4. Colored felt
  5. Rice

Step one: using the scissors cut out two hearts of the same size from the colored felt.

Step two: thread the needle with the colored thread. Then start to stitch the two hearts tightly together leaving no gaps for the rice to escape out of along the edges of the hearts making sure you have enough thread to stitch all the way around the hearts.

Step three: before you close up the heart leave a gap wide enough to fill the heart with rice. After done filling the heart with rice stitch up and tie the two ends of the thread together. To make the heart warm put it in the microwave and the rice will hold the heat.
