NHS president Haley Zynda signs off a students hours sheet as they turn in their donations to the NHS office.

On Dec. 18 National Honors Society will be collecting their donations for their giving tree and adopt a family at 7 am in the NHS office.

“This has been one of our best turnouts yet for the NHS students donating their time as well as their gifts which I am really proud of.” NHS advisor Shane Smith said.

Not only did students bring in specific gifts for the giving tree, they’ve adopted a real family and provided many household items as well as gift cards for them.

“This NHS event isn’t about just charity work, it is about helping other people and families that are less fortunate that we are at Ike,” NHS president Haley Zynda said. “It warms my heart to see so many kids in this organization giving so much.”
