With summer right around the corner, here are activities to stay fit while in the sun.

This works: legs, abdominals, lower back, and inside and outside thighs. Don’t forget to pack the following items for a comfortable hike: a light snack, plenty of water, sunscreen, insect repellent and sunglasses.
Swimming- Swimming is good for cooling down on a hot day and a good workout. If 130 pounds, approximately 400 calories can be burned, Markham said. This tones the legs, arms, chest and core. Swimming can be relaxing, but remember to wear sunscreen to protect the skin.
Rollerblading- Rollerblading is a fun and social activity to do with a group of friends. Try it in a neighborhood or at a local parks, like Stony Creek, River Bends or Mae Stecker.
