New member mixer

Key club hosts their annual mixer for potential new members

As new key club members arrive at the mixer on Tuesday, Oct. 8, junior key club secretary Sonja Peterson passes an information pamphlet to sophmore Maria Kaci. Since this is Peterson’s first year on the board it was her first time helping run the event. “It was really great to see all the new members and help them. I’m really looking forward to working with them this year and next year,” Peterson said.

Pizza with Buddy's
Providing students with opportunities for trade skills based careers, the Industrial Readiness has employment networking events and hands-on classes like machining and construction. The program is tuition free for those who are eligible.
Hands-On Horizons
Outside of room 415, the Arts and Crafts Club put up their poster. The club was made to give students a creative outlet. Every month a new craft is selected for the members to do. "There's no judgment on how well something turns out or not, and it gives people a different opportunity to learn new skills," club sponsor Connie Wakefield said.

Key Club members creates decorations for Fall Rally. They created posters in the shape of magnifying glasses, case folders and more.
Key Club: ready to rally
Making an Ofrenda this past Monday, Nov. 4, junior Atalya Ballow utilizes items she used the year prior when making an Elvis Ofrenda. This year, her Ofrenda was in honor of Hollywood celebrity Marilyn Monroe.
Making meaningful memories
At the NHS ceremony in 2023, president senior Mekhi Kattula showcases the newest members with vice president senior Evangelina Danforth and junior Maya Azar who is the current president now. “So it just makes me feel proud of them, and it's fun that I get to watch it. It's our formal induction ceremony that allows all the juniors to become official members of NHS,” Azar said.
