Driven and creative. I’m Isabella Arcangeli and I am in my senior year of high school. I have never taken a journalism class before, but I love to write and am very passionate about it, so I’m excited to learn different ways to write, writing stories and all the aspects of journalism. Other than writing, I’m very active in Ike’s Drama Club, participating in productions and being on the committee as the accountant. Drama Club will always have a special place in my heart because I’ve met some of my best friends and have really come out of my shell as a result of how wonderful the club is. I also have two dogs, a husky and a corgi, named Aria and Willow who keep me on my toes 24/7. My dogs are a huge part of my life and I would be very bored if I didn’t have them around.

Curious kindergarteners. Helping to teach a class, senior Gabrielle Carnes reads a story to the kids. She got to work with her former elementary school teacher through her future educators class. “I love being able to break away from all the stress of the day and go see the kids,” Carnes said. “I know that when I go to placement they're all excited to see me.”

Grab that western gear. Taking advantage of the last year to participate in spirit week, seniors Leah Yancy and Addison Mondoux put their best western outfits on. Yancy wanted to make sure she didn’t miss out and got out her cowgirl accessories. “It's my senior year and I thought why not go all out for all of the spirit days. It's one of the last times we get to do it,” she said.

Futures so bright. Enjoying the senior sunrise, seniors Sophie Schoenherr and Carly Zanti sit on their blankets. Sophomore and junior student council (STUCO) members woke up early to stir up over 600 waffles, set everything up and put in a lot of work to make this event a success. “Make time for everything. You want the opportunity to look back on in the future,” history teacher and Student Council advisor Amber Bronson said. “I feel those little snippets in time really matter and you will look back on them and appreciate them later in life.”
