Ana Julia Breves

Ana Julia Breves, Staff Writer

Hi, I’m Ana Julia Breves. I was born in Florida, but I’m Brazilian. I’m 15 and a sophomore this year. I joined Journalism this year to try something different and learn new skills. I’m a Staff-Writer this year. I love watching movies, but I never know what to watch on Netflix. One of my hobbies is catching up on my sleep. I’m not fluent in Portuguese, but I can get by pretty well. I don’t have a favorite music genre, but I like to listen to music from Lana Del Rey to Latin music, so it’s a big range. I love spending time with my very big family because we’re all close.

Williamsburg features reenactments of famous colonial speeches, which the AP U.S. History class attended. “When you were there, they really made you feel like you were there back in that time period because everyone was dressed up” sophomore Sophie Macleod Roth said. Students learn many of these famous speeches in class, but not many get to hear it as if it happened in front of them.
