Senior sunrise fun
A free breakfast under the sunrise was provided to all seniors right before school on Friday morning.
Students get together with familiar faces and enjoy a casual morning before school.
“It’s a tradition that Mrs. Bronson started about 10 years ago and I think it’s a great idea. Kids need to think about the experiences that they’re going to have in their lives,” economics teacher Kevin Donahue said, “this brings everybody together to set the tone for the kid’s last year in high school.”
This yearly event is exclusive to seniors and took place on Friday Sept. 9 about an hour before school at Malow Track & Field.
“Mrs. Bronson asked for help and she knows that I make breakfast a lot, so I have a little experience,” Donahue said.
The senior sunrise included a free breakfast consisting of pancakes, waffles and juice. All of the breakfast food was cooked by Donahue and student council juniors with the guidance of head of stuco Amber Bronson. Seniors were able to relax under the sunrise and chat with their friends while enjoying their meal.
“It was fun getting to spend time with my senior friends,” senior Alexa Shkreli said.
