Dance team challenges for a win

A new team, a new routine and a new start to hold the first place title is dancing around the corner in a fast pace. The Eisenhower dance team has been working hard with more than just a little rhythm in their feet.

“We’re shooting to win the title of Hip Hop and Jazz this year,” senior dance captain Sydney Oprita said. “The team has been practicing really hard each week and it may be a lot more than dancing on our feet, but I believe in all of the team members.”

The Eisenhower dance team is scheduled to compete against numerous teams among other districts and is practicing day in and day out to hold the title on Nov. 16. The team is feeling very confident about a whole new year and can’t wait to dance upon the stage once again.

“I’m so excited to perform as a whole new team,” senior dance captain Kendall Crudo said. “I feel very confident about every single member and I’m sure we’ll end up taking the stats very far into the competition.”
