Student council gets hyped up for Regionals, where schools from the area come together to learn the real meaning of leadership.

Monday Feb 13, stuco members missed a school day and traveled to the event.

“Regionals are a conference for student leadership’s including, councils, honor societies and leadership classes,” student council president senior Danielle Anthes said. “My favorite part is being surrounded by a bunch of people who have the same passions as you and it’s like the eye of the hurricane because it’s the calm in all the chaos.”

It was the sophomores’ first time experiencing the regional environment. They learn from other schools new ways to improve Eisenhower’s student council in the future.

“This was such a new, fun experience,” sophomore Emily Theida said. “I got to meet new people. I also learned to be a better leader and how to improve my school’s student council.”

This helps the students learn new meanings to different aspects of their school. They learn and also enjoy the day with other council members.

“Conferences help you learn about so much—homecoming, school climate, events at school,” Anthes said. “For example, Powderbuff was introduced to us at our regional connect conference two years ago.”
