Women’s swim and dive laps competition

Women’s swim continues making big strides in the pool as they continue to work hard after their win at the County meet, for the third consecutive year.

“The girls, my teammates, that’s my favorite part, that’s why I do it. I mean I love the sport, but I love the girl on it even more,” said senior Alaina Hefferan.

The swim team isn’t just a team in the pool; the girls bond outside of school as well. They go to breakfast after weekend practices, have team sleepovers, and they host pasta dinners.

“It was tough losing some of our best seniors last year, but we were working really hard this year. Having to put in the extra work made the win even bigger this year,” said senior captain Carley Eichhorn.

Even though this year was a little bit different for the team without their seniors that helped carry the team, they kept their eyes on the prize and worked even harder at practices.

The women’s swim and dive team has proven that their success isn’t determined by the grades or ages of the team members; they work hard in practice and see good results because of it.
