Varsity hockey brings home the gold, winning the Division 1 Regional Championship for the 2015-2016 hockey season.

Their skates quickly glided on the ice as the team chased after the puck. Playing against the rivals, Dakota High School, and ending in a score of 6-3.

Senior Alec Czartoryski broke a 3-3 tie, while Ethan Tobiczyk scored three goals and had an assist to the goal.

This accomplishment could not have been achieved without preparing themselves mentally and physically, according to junior Andrew Dunn.

“It was such an unforgettable game. When the buzzer rang, I was in shock. All I wanted to do was jump on someone’s back and scream. It was an exciting moment,” said Dunn.

Training themselves for this day, all year long, gave them confidence and a strong belief in themselves, according to assistant captain Stephen Ciennik.

“It was so exciting getting to advance and play against such a good team,” said Ciennik.
