Physicals night to be held on June 2

Every sport requires a physical—it is a must have for every aspiring athlete.

“This is one of the least expensive ways to get a physical,” athletic director Kevin Donahue said. “Dr. Popovski is a great support of our program. The staff he brings in is very competent, so it’s an easy way to get it done if your insurance doesn’t cover it.”

They will be held from 6 to 8 P.M., and go through a variety of stations. Doctors will perform physical tests and measurements, such as height and weight. They perform mobility and balance testing.

“There is a kind of screening in which, if you can’t balance a certain weight, you’re more prone to a certain type of injury,” Donahue said. “Doctors will advise students on how to help themselves improve their athleticism to protect themselves from the inherent risks of injury that sports present.”

Unlike other years, the exam file will be uploaded to Family ID, instead of turned into the office. For more information, students can contact Mr. Donahue.
