Hi, my name is Drew Baker, and I am a senior here at Eisenhower. Although this is only my first year in journalism, I have a lot to offer. I earned a 4 on the AP Language and Composition test and I received the Shelby Junior High Principal’s Award for my skill as a writer. Further developing my skills as a writer is a main reason as to why I took journalism, as well as exploring a potential career path. I am highly interested in the idea of sports journalism as a future job, or really any career that could keep me close to the sport I play, baseball. As a varsity athlete, I have learned to push through adversity, whether it be injuries or losses, I have always found a way to come back better the next time. Such qualities have helped me become a better student and will continue to help me throughout the year.
