Ice-cream dream
A perfect chilled treat for the upcoming summer
This simple three ingredient dessert is the perfect chilled treat for summer.
Instead of settling for a simple bowl of ice-cream or bland popsicle, why not change it up? This tasty, inexpensive treat can easily be prepared with household ingredients and minimal mess.
The recipe calls for 10 ice-cream sandwiches, ice-cream, and Oreo cookies, all of which can easily be found at home or at the store. Ice-cream and Oreo flavors can be interchanged, leaving a potential wide range of different flavors and combinations.
First begin by lining a 9×5 pan with foil, making sure there is enough to hang over the sides of the pan. Line the bottom of the pan with roughly five ice-cream sandwiches. For the best results, closely pack the sandwiches together.
Spread a thick layer of ice-cream over top of the sandwiches and then repeat the second step by placing more sandwiches over the layer of ice-cream. Spread another layer of ice-cream on top and finish off with crushed Oreos.
In total it only takes roughly 10 minutes to fully prepare, and a minimal two hour freezing period so it can fully set.
This quick dessert is perfect for sweet-tooth cravings and delicious treats for friends and family. The combination of these ingredients results in a sweet, chilling snack that offers a new wave of flavors each bite.
