If you missed the Oscars this year, then here are some looks from the event that stood out.

Megan Thee Stallion-

Rating 9/10. A dress that is a mermaid style with complementary colors can make for a cute prom dress. This look was very elegant and chic. Megan Thee Stallion had a light blue gown with a sweetheart bodice and a leg split with waves decals. Her gown was designed by Gaurav Gupta and whose inspiration for this dress was his love for the ocean. The dress has sort of a mermaid look to it  Her silver heels and jewels made the look even more glamorous. This dress is unique compared to other dresses worn that night because of the high slit and the way that the waves on her dress are made to look like fins.

Rami Malek-

Rating- 3/10. For events like prom, it is classy and formal to wear a black and white suit. Rami Malek wore a black custom Prada suit. Now this contradicts what the first sentence said; this look did not stand out enough. Understandably, it’s formal to wear a suit and a tie to the Oscars, but this look is overdone. This look is plain and there isn’t anything special to it. He could have worn maybe a different color suit or tie. However, as basic as it is, the look is very classic. Plus, he wasn’t the only man at the Oscars this year to wear a black suit and tie.

Daniel Kaluuya-

Rating 8/10. Although black and white suits are common, prom is a special event, and wearing a different styled suit or a different color suit is unique. Daniel Kaluuya wore an aquamarine suit. The suit was mohair-trimmed and from the Prada fall/ winter collection. This look is classy with a bit of edge to it. With the way the tux is styled; it also sort of gives off a futuristic look. The green color adds to the futuristic look and makes the suit more original. Although black and white suits are common, prom is a special event, and wearing a different styled suit or a different color suit is unique.

Maggie Gyllenhaal-

Rating 5/10. At Prom most dresses are long and although different styled dresses are unique, prom dresses should be classy. Maggie Gyllenhaal wore a custom Schiaparelli dress. This dress could have been styled better. The style of the dress is very unique and creative. It’s interesting how the dress is shaped like a cross and it looks cute. However, the gold items on the dress look like huge buttons. The gold items are pretty big and excessive. The dress would have complimented her if she had gold jewelry or a gold hair accessory.
