        Sideline spirit

        Cheerleaders prep for a JV football game and share what goes into making their performance technique game-ready

        A group of cheerleaders walk down the track towards their coach. “I felt happy to cheer in the game,” sophomore base Haley Walters said. Walters injured her knee during a practice and worried she would not be allowed to cheer, however, she was given permission to and she cheered the game with no issues.

        The varsity girl's lacrosse team won their first game of the season against Grosse Point North. They beat them 11-5.
        Changing the game
        After a final season full of dedicated bowling, senior Dylan Harnden gets awarded Michigan Bowler of the Year. "I had no idea that it was that was getting the award," Harnden said. Harnden and his team also won the D1 state championship.

        During an award ceremony Sensei Jon Davis awards junior Cara Wolf her kobudo belt. “I felt very proud of myself at that moment, I worked very hard to get this belt,” Wolf said.

        "It's [Sports] going to be the best decision of your life, and you won't regret it. It's a great way to make friends and just overall be a better person and learn the right things," said senior Michael Dziadula.
        Aspiring athletes
        Looking for wrist control, senior  Elijah Halbert gains on his opponent. “I started wrestling because I was interested in MMA and it teaches me life skills,” Halbert said. He has wrestled for three years.
