Many American families celebrate Memorial Day but have no idea what the real meaning behind the day.

      American’s around the country celebrate on Memorial Day by going to a barbeque, visiting a campsite or spending time with family. The families who have been personally affected celebrate this holiday differently.

      Memorial Day is a day dedicated to Americans in the military who have died for this country. Most people lose sight to what this day is truly about.

      Families who have lost loved ones to battles will spend the day visiting graves or participating in activities to help military families. This day is not just a day off it’s much more for  families who are mourning.

      With that being said, go out to a memorial day parade. Donate to veterans. Donate to families that have lost someone close. Don’t just have a barbeque, help out in your community.
